There is no magical equation how to fish for Mister or Miss Right. All there is in existence are guidelines to help you pull through. So when you finally go on that big date and find that he or she is the right one, what you should do comes into mind.

MAKE A MINDSET. Before the date, set your standards. What kind of person do you want to meet? Are you going on this for the fun or finding the perfect one? What kind of first impression would you want to make? What kind of conversation do you want to strike? If you’re serious about dating, you will take time to think things over. On the actual date, if the person does not turn out as you expected he or she to be, do not settle for the substandard. Remember that the dating arena is a big one and it gives you enough room to look for the right person.

LOOK YOUR BEST. Put yourself in the position of your date. Would you seriously want to date someone who’d show up in a ragged shirt and torn jeans in a five-star restaurant? The way you look also reflects who you are. Being unclean shows an unhygienic person and that’s one of the last things you would want to be. You don’t have to sell out your style for the latest fashion trends. All you have to do is fix your hair, shop for new clothes if possible, and be clean or neat. Most of all, you have to keep a smile on your face - it always works.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE IMPORTANT. First impressions may not last but what does your date have to hold on to on a first date? As much as possible, keep conversations clean, don’t curse, and talk about decent things. Do not provoke your date to be annoyed or irritated. You certainly do not want to be remembered that way.

It’s also advisable to talk about things you want to be remembered for. Avoid awkward silences but noise and cutting on your date as he or she speaks is just as evil. When you are on a date, keep in mind you’re talking to a human, not a machine. He or she wants to be heard just as much as he or she wants to listen.

There is no one-way method to achieve a good dating career. You will have good and bad dates. But the key to finding Ms. or Mr. Right is patience, time, and dedication. Don’t worry, he or she is just out there waiting for you to find him or her.
