Album of the Decade: In Rainbows by Radiohead

Album of the Decade: In Rainbows by RadioheadThe favorite part of most people when it comes to a record bar is where the huge “SALE” sign reads. They usually look for a birthday gift for someone special, and they must have found something special in record bars everywhere last October ten, 2007. It was Radiohead’s latest album: In Rainbows, which deserves the title “Album of the Decade”.

But most people didn’t know about the discounts they could get on top of their purchase of the In Rainbows album. First, you get to pick how much you would pay for the album. Go to inrainbows.com, fill the blank with the amount it deserves, and voila, it’s yours—yes, this is a dead serious matter. It gives music lovers this impression that Radiohead’s no longer playing for the cash but for the rock music they all love from “Kid A” and “Amnesiac”. In addition, picking the price rocks bigtime!

Most people don’t initially find themselves as avid fans of Radiohead until they get to listen to them. Most of these people have to admit that “In Rainbows” is surprisingly cool. The ten tracks in this album departed from the rest through a slight experimentation. Notably, the music sounded heartfelt. Thom, the lead singer, managed to maintain the sense of mystery they always had even after removing the fragmented arrangement of the songs.

The sincerity might have come from the fact that In Rainbows wasn’t recorded in the studio. The mixing was so perfect it removed the wishy-washy effect live recordings tended to have. This is amongst the greatest albums rock fans across the world had heard so far. Give Radiohead credit for making their album release date a very happy day for all Radiohead fans who enjoy these superior collections they had been expecting from them for a while now. Two thumbs up!
