Rock N Roll Jesus’ is Kid Rock’s very first album to make it to the top for the first time in his 17-year singing career. In 2000, the album, History of Rock, got the second place with 456500 units but never hit No.1. In 2001, Cocky came No.7 with 222900 copies sold, and in 2003, Kid Rock got the eight place with 188500 sales.
Also on the chart were newcomers like Rascal Flatts' "Still Feels Good" finished at third place with 96,000. At No.4 is another newcomer, LeAnn Rimes with her album Family, which sold 74,200 units while Matchbox twenty's "Exile on Mainstream" fell to No.5 selling 71,600 copies. Dubbed as Kid Rock’s savior, “Rock N Roll Jesus” overthrew the “Magic” of Bruce Springsteen from first place last week to second place this week. Based on Nielsen SoundScan, “Rock N Roll Jesus” sold almost 170000 copies compared to 130000 copies of “Magic” - a decline of sixty percent in terms of sales.
In a public statement, Kid Rock thanked all his fans for the great support. He also thanked his manager of seven years, Punch Andrews, for all his hard work and guidance. On the same day, they separated ways.
