Weeks after the bust, Gibson had pleaded no contest to charges of driving under the influence and the judge had decided to let the actor be under probation for three years. A three-month strike of members of the Writers Guild of America is expected to end as the guild leaders had voted to ask their members to ratify a contract and end their strike. According to Patric Verrone, membership meeting is expected on Tuesday, to which writers will have to decide whether they will continue or end the walkout. Meanwhile, the writers are very hopeful that with the three-year contract proposed by the studios to increase the writer’s payments for the online use of movies and shows, they can finally gain a good deal.
