Princess Beatrice and Lady Helen Taylor, daughter of the Duke of Kent, represented the House of Windsor. Beatrice chose a crystal-studded Marchesa gown. Naomi Campbell wore a diamond-encrusted bra and knickers under her transparent Dolce and Gabbana gown. Gwyneth Paltrow joined Italian fashion designer Valentino. The battle of bling was won by millionaire cover girl, Kate Moss, who showed-off an exquisite 1920’s Flapper cocktail dress adorned with 60,000 swarovski crystal beads of silver and tassels covering it by loops – shimmering as Kate moves. The biggest surprise of the evening was the comeback of Whitney Houston, presenting the final couture of the night. She wore a see-through Valentino gown decorated with swarovski crystals, leaving hardly anything to the imagination of the viewers. Hollywood’s most fashionable pair of Samuel Jackson and Uma Thurman co-hosted the spectacular live fashion and music event. The show featured a mega line-up of international designers by performances of top music artists. They were: Alicia Keys for Armani, soul-singer Joss Stone for Calvin Klein, 80’s legend Marc Almond for Yves Saint Laurent, Razorlight fronted by fashion trendsetter Johnny Borrel for Burberry, NME’s Beth Ditto and The Gossip for Christopher Kane, London’s favorite Lily Allen for Chanel, super producer/artist Timbaland for Dolce and Gabbana, Rolsin Murphy for Gucci, Shy Child for Estella McCartney, Nicole Scherzinger for Valentino, and Iggy Pop for Versace. |
