The Offspring is an American pop punk band formed in Huntington Beach, California in 1984. The band is credited, along with fellow California punk bands Green Day and Rancid, with reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid-1990s. To date, The Offspring has released eight studio albums, one compilation, four EPs and three DVDs. They have sold over 32 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling punk rock acts of all time. Each album since the release of their final Epitaph album Smash has sold over a million units.

The Grammy Awards Night was a big hit as Amy Winehouse led the official winners for this year. Winehouse grabbed five awards out of six nominations that included the Song of the Year for her song “Rehab”, Best New Artist, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for solo performance. Winehouse got the Record of the Year Award but the Song of the Year eluded her as it was awarded to Herbie Hancock for his tribute to legendary jazz icon Joni Mitchell with the album “River: The Joni Letters”. According to Hancock, the award is not really for him as he offers it to legendary jazz singers before him.

Based on Nielsen SoundScan, “Rock N Roll Jesus” sold almost 170000 copies compared to 130000 copies of “Magic” - a decline of sixty percent in terms of sales.

This Radiohead feat is 5th in a series of no. 1 UK Billboard Album Chart LPs. The series of Radiohead UK Album Chart toppers started off with the band's 1997 release entitled "Ok Computer". The next UK LP topper was the 2000 release "Kid A". Afterwards, "Amnesiac" made it to the top in 2001. Then, "Hail to the Thief" snagged the no. 1 UK Billboard Album Chart in 2003.
