The Incredible Hulk is based on the Marvel comic series of the same name and is set for release again on June13, 2008. Louis Letterier directed this film which stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler and William Hurt as Bruce Banner, Betty Ross and her father, General Thunderbolt Ross respectively. Tim Roth is also included in the cast as Emil Blonsky, the villain.

The movie follows Banner as he flees from the pursuit of General Ross in his attempt to get a cure that can rid himself of his “Hulk” counterpart. Hence, when Blonsky had injected himself with the gamma formula of Banner and mutates to a far greater monster, it is now the prerogative of Banner to accept his inner beast in order to defeat Blonsky.

Marvel Studios re-acquired the “Hulk” character’s rights, subsequent to the initial 2003 film version. After this, writer Zak Penn started working on a free-flowing sequel which would be closer to the comics and the television series. Then Norton rewrote the script after he signed on to star it, severing ties with its predecessor by retelling the origin of the story again, in flashback, along with other more interesting revelations.

This movie took place in Toronto, Canada last 2007. The film’s crew went to great lengths in order to have the production carbon emissions reduced. Letterier, the director of this film aimed to make the monsters look more realistic and frightening. Letterier even redesigned the Abomination, in which, the comics portrayed as a reptilian KGB agent who became a mutant soldier with an exoskeleton.

The Incredible Hulk is a reboot, a restart of the Hulk movie series. This is with no ties to Ang Lee’s 2003 film version of “The Hulk”. It is even said that this film will return to the roots of the long running comic series by combining a well-developed character storyline, along with incredible action and overwhelming fun.

This movie is being produced by Avi Arad, Kevin Feige, and Gaile Ann Hurd. It is also executively produced by Michael Helfant and Avi Arad. Thus, due to the disappointing box office performance of the 2003’s Hulk movie, Marvel has decided to start with a fresh franchise that will consist of a totally new creative team and cast. This movie will not be the direct sequel of Ang Lee’s version of Hulk nor will it project a new origin of the story, it will just depict a new adventure by featuring an adaptation which is considered to be more faithful to the main characters, as seen in the comic books.

The rummage for this Hulk movie as escalating as with the character Bruce Banner thinks that he might be closer to finding a cure for his dark green curse. This film will not only feature one big green monster, it will also showcase Hulk’s most overpowering enemy, which is “Abomination”, another gamma radiated creature.

This will be in the movie screens by June 13, 2008, so we only need to wait a bit longer and see how it will turn up. By then, we will witness how one scientist makes an excruciating final decision to whether accept a quiet life as the story line’s “Bruce Banner” or to bear the creature he may permanently become. This is while people find heroism in the creature he holds inside, as the “Incredible Hulk”. This film is distributed by Universal Pictures. The genre of this movie is action and adventure.
